Meet the Founders 

Anar Mikailov, M.D.  FAAD
Co-Founder 

 Dr. Mikailov is a Harvard-trained dermatologist with an expertise in high-risk skin cancer and medical dermatology. He is the senior editor of Fitzpatrick’s Color Atlas and Synopsis of Clinical Dermatology 9thedition, the #1 best-selling dermatology textbook. He is dual-boarded in both Internal Medicine and Dermatology after completing the prestigious combined Medicine-Dermatology Combined Residency program at Massachusetts General Hospital - Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is recognized as a leader in consultative hospital dermatology, has published extensively and presented internationally.  He practices medical and consultative dermatology full time in Rochester, NY and is on staff at Rochester General Hospital.  

Vladimir Ratushny, M.D.  Ph.D.  FAAD
Co-Founder 

 Dr. Ratushny is a Harvard-trained dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. He is well regarded for his expertise in Mohs surgery, high risk skin cancer management, general dermatology and hair transplantation.  He is also on staff at Mass General Brigham, Salem Hospital.  He is frequently invited to train and teach Harvard dermatology residents on hair loss and hair transplantation surgery.  In addition to his medical expertise, Dr. Ratushny also holds a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology, with a focus on cancer research.  During the course of his Ph.D. at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Dr. Ratushny discovered two new drug combination therapies for cancer, one of which went on to be tested in a clinical trial for lung cancer patients.

Dr. Ratushny’s original research, case reports, and review articles have been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals in areas ranging from skin cancer, drug resistance mechanisms, Lyme disease, allergic contact dermatitis, and medical humanities. 

 

John Bartolone,  Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Officer 

Dr John Bartolone received his MS in BioPhysics and PhD in Biochemical Toxicology from the University of Connecticut.  He was an Assistant Professor at UConn in Molecular and Cell Biology.    Dr Bartolone has more than 30 yrs Corporate R&D experience working with leading companies, Unilever and P&G.  He was responsible for managing and co-building several of their R&D labs and core global science platforms.  He launched many “First of its Kind” products in Anti-Aging, Skin Lightening and Hair Coloring including new devices.  Before retiring from Unilever, he managed their largest Beauty and Personal Care R&D lab in North America.  He is an inventor on more than 30 patents and numerous peer reviewed science publications.
